I am trying to apply for jobs but since I am a new grad everyone has been rejecting me. I thought I heard getting a job in nursing field was easy.

Try applying for medical surgical position. Build your knowledge base. Entry level nurse.

A lot of hospitals offer new graduate nurse residency programs. You should look into that! As long as you have less than a year of experience and nail your interview, you are likely to get hired! Good luck :)

I completely understand where your coming from! I'm not a newly graduating nursing student (graduated in 2019) but I just passed my NCLEX a month ago! I have to say it has been a challenge to find a hospital willing to hire me! I've applied to teaching hospitals with StaRN programs and just crickets! I can't help but think if these hospitals are hesitant to hire certain new grads depending on the school they graduated from because of the nursing degree scandal! But we can't give up! Keep applying and before you know it you'll land your dream job at your dream hospital!

You need to apply for new grad positions. Not sure where you are, but you may need to relocate

Where are you from? I am from Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Virginia. We take new grads. We would love to have you!

1. Search online for nursing agency that has permanent placement in hospitals. They will find a job for you but you may have to relocate. 2. Offer to volunteer at the VA Hospital. They may hire you instead when they see you are a nurse.
3. Take any RN position in the hospital offered to u. U can always transfer/ transition later when u get some experience.
4. When u say rejecting you do u mean ur application or the interview?
5. Last resort get a job at a rehab/clinic/LTAC but keep applying at hospitals. Sometimes they just prefer to hire ppl who are already working.

I'm sorry to hear that you have been having a hard time landing a position. I had a similar experience when applying right out of nursing school as well. One thing I can recommend is, if you live near a large teaching/academic hospital, applying to new grad residency programs. These positions are fairly easy to get the opportunity to interview since they're entry level and don't require much work experience at all. I'm not sure where you live or what kind of jobs you have had in the past, because these variables can impact you landing your first job, but I would recommend applying to anything you're interested in and provide a cover letter expressing how interested you are and pointing out your attributes that would make you a great candidate. Also, if you can, try to network on social media, like LinkedIN. Good luck :)
