Fix your resume to highlight your strengths and accomplishments. Apply to as many jobs as you can. call and follow up after applying. Also, if you get any interview, successful or not, send a Thank you email- works like a charm. Good luck!

A teaching hospital is a good start.

Go to where you did you practicum/clinical hours. Your preceptor can write a letter of recommendation as well as the physician you worked under with that preceptor.
