Good morning and good luck. I became an RN 40 years ago. The civilian population is quite different. Rules an Regs are in place that require the professional license in order to maintain accreditation. Without accreditation the providers can not get reimbursed by Medicare/Medicaid..and other government or contracted agency.

I was a corpsman and could do any task a licensed person could do and maybe better. The nursing school I went to allowed me to test out of the first 2 semester of the program. Because of the private sectors requirem to employ licensed care givers I do not see change happening anytime in the near future

Good luck

Good Afternoon!

The military has their own set of standards that may or may not be equivalent to the civilian sector! If you have what they ask for , you will have no issues being hired or getting promoted!

Good luck!
