How are the job prospects for new nurse with an ASN/ADN in Massachusetts?

May 2nd, 2023

If you want a job in a hospital, you will need a BSN. Clinics are hiring ADN nurses but the pay is not very good $23 per hour. I strongly suggest you pursue getting your BSN if you want any future in nursing.

I regret to say that most hospitals esp those with magnet status will probably only hire BSN.
Look at smaller hospitals- get on board then start a BSN program that you can get tuition reimbursement

Mass needs warm bodies to complete the work. Study well, do the NCLEX seriously, work well and you will be appreciated. Some places are a lot of work where staff is interesting and help remains needed so agencies are called and much OT is offered. Many places paid alright, ran smoothly and you are in and out peacefully. There were many calls to work eight hours and get paid for more hours.
One place told me no more than eight hours a day but provided me with sixteen hour shifts every day. The help is needed. I did wonder how many doubles they would provide after stating only eight hours per day; I did thirteen doubles in a row; my girlfriend worked there and did the same thirteen doubles in a row also.
The 2% of police police in Mass scare me as they are bad. One cop arrested me for no ID as he put the ID in my auto, impounded auto, fingerprinted me took me to court, the judge sent me to jail over the weekend for four day to get prints to I D me

Yes, unfortunately, entry level for all states in BSN. Not sure who gave you the advice to get an ADN but finish off to get BSN. (I think the accelerated online courses take about 16 months??)

DO NOT STOP your education. Please enroll in a BSN - MSN program as soon as possible.
