I heard that income tax in Hawaii is a lot, and that the workload is heavy. Is this true?

Nursing is an art. You have to craft your routines everywhere. It is hard work. If you expect to coast, you're in the wrong field.

Yes it’s all true, but the being able to go to the beach is worth it!

Yes both are true. Many areas of Hawai'i have limited medical resources, often times patients in need of critical care are transported to a different island for higher levels of care. If you don't already live in Hawai'i I encourage you not to relocate there, as the limited medical resources are just one of the problems people face there, largely Native Hawaiians. The pay is similar to the Bay Area in California, and while cost of living is still high in CA, it is still less than Hawai'i.
