First time renewing license, how would I go about doing this?

Each state is different- you should get a reminder that your renewal is coming up. I suggest you go on your state board of nursing website and follow the instructions for renewal- some require proof of CEUs and most ask you to attest to any issues during the last licensing period- hope this helps.

Down load the EC wallet app on your phone, it keeps track of your licensing dates and ACLS, BLS and PALS.
you have to perform CEU mandatory as well each time you renew so look at the ones you have to get and get them done. You may need specifics ones and you will need a certain number of CEU points. Im in Fl. I have to have 6 particular classes and then also 20 CEUs done..which is easy.

You just have to go to your state board nursing website and go to the renew license tab. Pay the fee. They will send your new license in the mail. Your employer can make sure you renew online in a database before you have the paper copy , however
