I do know a lot of hospitals will hire you for nurse extern positions while you try to get your RN license if you are within the grace period they allow for new grad residents to get their license. I don’t believe one can work as a BSN without an RN license. Best to you!

You can't work as an RN without being licensed (at least in NY). That said, some hospitals will hire you as a nursing assistant until you have passed your NCLEX and then move you into an RN spot. You don't say if you have an LPN license, which some BSN students acquire in their second year of schooling. If you have an LPN active license, you might be hired as an LPN with the promise of being moved into an RN spot upon passing the NCLEX.
