I am new grad and I Just want to get into residency program, and I have two choices (none of them is my first preference ), Renal/GI/GU and Surgical/trauma/Ortho but I I would to get in ASAP, any advice?

The most important thing is to get your foot in the door. Also, give any area you go into a chance as you may find that you like it. I thought I would want to become a wound Ostomy nurse. Changed my mind after seeing what they do. I was hired into the OR before graduation and have been there ever since. The OR is not easy, but it is an awesome place to work.
