Hi

I am starting in home care in March and am wondering if I should buy a bug deterrent spray for my clothes. Has anyone used a specific product? Researching before I buy!

Thanks!

I choose not to work in homes with bugs that like to creep into your bag to go home with you. If I see them, I finish my shift and then I refer the job out.

For bed bugs spray shoes and pant legs with rubbing alcohol before and after going in. Wear shoe booties and throw away after the visit. Take as little equipment in with you, if you know ahead of time. If the patient has reliable equipment (np cuff stethoscope pulse ox thermometer etc) use theirs. Go back to pen & paper to jot down vs etc, chart after the visit.
